Take a St Ives winter break with us

31st January 2022

Wave watching at Porthmeor, brisk coastal walks from Lelant and Carbis Bay followed by a refreshing Cornish gin in front of the tele of your holiday home – it’s got to be a winter break in St Ives.

You can enjoy your St Ives winter holiday from our own luxury self catering accommodation. Refreshing short breaks as well as rejuvenating full week stays are now available in our two modern, sophisticated apartments and cosy, country cottage (with hot tub!) in February and March.

Short breaks

Short winter breaks are great for a quick getaway to recharge ahead of Spring. Stay for the weekend (3 nights, Friday – Monday) or midweek (4 nights, Monday – Friday) and simply relax in the comfort of our luxurious properties.

Weekly stays

If you are able to take a week off in the winter months, then there’s nothing better than a rejuvenating week’s stay in Cornwall. You can now book 7 nights from Monday or Friday, giving you more options to plan your Cornish getaway.

More time spent in our luxury self catered accommodation, gives you the chance to balance lazy days spent indoors with more active ones, exploring what West Cornwall has to offer.

Our winter breaks can be enjoyed across both our stylish apartments and newly renovated cottage.

The Kerenza and Demelza apartments sleep up to 4 guests across two bedrooms, plus an infant in a cot. If there’s a few more of you to accommodate, take a look at Morwenna – a 6 sleeper across two bedrooms. Not only can a larger family enjoy this brand new property, but it also boasts a hot tub in its private garden.

For electric car owners, all 3 of our properties feature a 7kW charging socket – a rarity among St Ives holiday homes.

The advantage of our St Ives accommodation is that it’s not right in the centre of town. We’re located in Halestown, 1 mile away, giving you private space to have a secluded stay – plus plenty of parking! You then have the option to venture into the town, should you wish to, as well as enjoy everything else West Cornwall has to offer.

But really, we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t leave your accommodation at all!

Our properties were designed with comfort and practicality in mind – a home from home. Plus some top notch technology to take advantage of.

For example, the kitchen, dining and living space is all open plan in our apartments and cottage so that cooking, eating and playing games can be enjoyed all together.

All bedrooms have Smart TVs fitted, so you can watch Netflix from the comfort of your bed – perfect for lazy mornings all snuggled up.

You’ll find Amazon Alexa’s across each property and bluetooth speakers to stream your favourite tunes in the bathrooms whilst soaking in the bath.

Don’t worry about packing all the essentials, we’ll provide the basics to get you started; washing up liquid, tea towels, dish brush, dishwashing tablets and Fairy Non Bio washing detergent pods.

And why not consider a supermarket food delivery to save you the hassle of doing a food shop when you arrive. We can also provide some menus for local takeaways so you can take a break from the cooking.

2022 OFFER – Dogs stay for FREE*
(*Applies to winter holidays taken during February and March 2022. Discount automatically applied when booking.)

Your winter break wouldn’t be the same without the dog – so bring them too! All our self catering accommodation is dog friendly, accepting up to 2 dogs per property at an additional cost.

They can make use of the dog exercise field on site as well as the many walks from your front door. Or jump in the car and enjoy the relaxed dog restrictions on our Cornish beaches throughout winter. Read our blog on holidays with your dog in St Ives for some more ideas on doggy days out.

The Cornish fresh air

Our winter breaks, whether they be 3, 4 or 7 nights, are a great opportunity for a change of scenery.

Not just within the comforts of our accommodation, but the beautiful outdoors Cornwall has to offer. We imagine social distancing will still be encouraged from December – March, so what better place to do so than on the stretches of Cornish coastline we have to offer around here.

Head to Gwithian for miles of golden sand on low tide, Marazion to see the famous St Michaels Mount across the water and more locally, Porthmeor for a spot of wave watching on a stormy day.

Be sure to pack your layers, hat, gloves and walking boots and hit The South West Coast Path or one of the many beaches for brisk walks with stunning views. There is also plenty of woodland to explore too, from Tehidy Woods to Millemium Woods, which also enable you to stay safe whilst exercising outdoors. And closeby, walk to Knills Monument for far reaching views across the countryside and out to the Atlantic coast – a perfect spot to see sunrise or sunset on a clear day.

Book with confidence

We appreciate there is still a level of uncertainty when it comes to booking a holiday, especially during this surge of Omicron cases.

With this in mind, we will extend our flexible cancellation policy to winter breaks for 2022/23.

If you pay the balance of your holiday and then are unable to travel due to local or national lockdown restrictions, we will provide you with…

  • Credit to the value of your full payment, to be used during a future holiday with us in 2023
  • Refund of the value of your full payment, minus £25 admin fee

These flexible terms and conditions apply only to cancellations when lockdown restrictions are imposed with regards to Coronavirus. To read our full Terms and Conditions, click here.

We would also strongly recommend taking out travel insurance, in case you were to test positive for COVID-19 or had to self isolate, and therefore unable to travel. This is NOT covered in our standard Terms and Conditions. Travel insurance is always a good idea anyway, just in case you need to cancel due to other reasons.

We hope these relaxed terms and conditions offer you the reassurance and confidence to book a winter break, without the added worry that COVID continues to give us!
