Christmas and New Year holidays at Polmanter
2nd January 2022
Christmas and New Year bookings are open for 2022!
Why not plan ahead for a festive break with your family in the comfort of our luxury self catering accommodation?
Our beautiful self catering properties, including our hot tub cottage, are available to enjoy in the run up to Christmas, the big day itself and New Year.
As we’re not located in the centre of St Ives, our accommodation allows you to hunker down in your own private space, with the option to visit the town and nearby beaches when you wish. There is also plenty of outdoor space for you to use just outside your front door, including the touring park’s playgrounds, tennis courts and dog exercise field for the four-legged family members.
What’s available and when can I come and stay?
Demelza, our second apartment, is also available up until 19th December.

Deck the paws
Christmas and New Year holidays just wouldn’t be the same without your four-legged family member. Each property is dog friendly, accepting up to 2 dogs per property.
They can make use of the dog exercise field on site as well as the many walks nearby. Or jump in the car and enjoy the relaxed dog restrictions on our Cornish beaches throughout winter. There really is nothing better than seeing your dog bounding across an empty beach and playing in amongst the waves.
Read our blog on holidays with your dog in St Ives for some more ideas on doggy days out.

Christmas in St Ives
If you want to venture out into St Ives, there really is a magical feeling around Christmas and New Year. You can walk from your apartment or cottage into town (1 mile, approx. 25 minutes) and meander through the cobbled streets lit up by Christmas lights from the end of October.
The town hosts many events, including;
- Christmas window dressing competition
- Santa visits St Ives, thanks to the RNLI Lifeboat team
- Christmas Markets
- Boxing Day dip
- New Year’s Eve fireworks display
As well as these annual events, St Ives and the wider area, has so much more to offer during festive breaks. We also appreciate that some people may still be cautious of occasions that can draw in crowds of people, so please be assured there is plenty more to do should you prefer a peaceful time away.
The beaches are mainly quiet, making them a great place to stroll along, or do some wave watching on stormier days.
If its walking you enjoy, wrap up and join The South West Coast Path. There are some stunning coastal views to take in along this stretch of the Atlantic.
Food and drink is a must when it comes to Christmas. You’re spoilt for choice when you’re in Cornwall as there are so many Cornish food producers creating such a wide range of products. If you do take a trip into St Ives or nearby towns, be sure to stop by the local bakeries, delis and shops stocking local produce from cheese and chutneys to gins and chocolate. You can then enjoy these goodies from the comfort of your accommodation, cosied up in front of the TV with a Christmas film.

Book with confidence
We’re hoping that Christmas and New Year 2022 will not involve the uncertainty that COVID has brought the last two years, but as we’ve learnt, you can never be too sure.
With this in mind, we will extend our flexible cancellation policy to winter breaks for 2022/23.
If you pay the balance of your holiday and then are unable to travel due to local or national lockdown restrictions or self isolation, we will provide you with…
- Credit to the value of your full payment, to be used during a future holiday with us in 2022.
- Refund of the value of your full payment, minus £25 admin fee
These flexible terms and conditions apply only to cancellations when lockdown restrictions are imposed with regards to Coronavirus. To read our full Terms and Conditions, click here.
We would also strongly recommend taking out travel insurance, in case you were to test positive for COVID-19 or had to self isolate, and therefore unable to travel. This is NOT covered in our standard Terms and Conditions. Travel insurance is always a good idea anyway, just in case you need to cancel due to other reasons.
We hope these relaxed terms and conditions offer you the reassurance and confidence to book a Christmas and New Year holiday, without the added worry that COVID continues to give us!
So what are you waiting for? Come and experience what Polmanter and St Ives has to offer at this magical time of year.
